Messages

Patient and Support chat threads and how messaging works.

The Messages section lets you view and participate in patient conversations. Access via Messages in the left sidebar.

The screen is split into a conversation list (left) and the active thread (right). Each conversation shows the patient avatar, name, latest message preview, and timestamp. Use the search bar to find a patient.

Support/admin conversations

Click any conversation to open the thread (patient name and MRN# at top, message history, who sent each message). Send messages using the input at the bottom.

Use messaging for administrative and support topics only — not clinical guidance. Do not provide dosing advice, clinical recommendations, or medical opinions via the message thread.

Patient

Provider-to-patient messages about treatment, prescriptions, follow-ups

Support

Clinical Support messages from client to provider

Providers send introductory messages automatically when they review a patient (e.g., "Hi [Name], this is Dr. [X]…"), sent by the Beluga Health provider network.
